Hello! We've just purchased and installed JLinkedIn 2.5 v1.2.3 earlier today to integrate with JomSocial.

After going through all the configuration process, we are at a stand still. After using the Login in with LinkedIn, filled in the Registration form to create a Profile, select the Register button and nothing happens.

What steps can we take to fix this?

Thank you!

After searching through the forum, it seems to be the same problem as this previous post: www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jlinked/jlink...nked-stopped-working

Still broken?

Yes. Still a problem.
We also tried a fresh Joomla install with Community Builder and JLinkedIn.
This time we are able to get through authentication (both new user and existing) but no LinkedIn information is retrieved.
We have also attempted to use some of the JLinkedIn modules with hardcoded company or person IDs.
Again no LinkedIn data is retrieved. The modules render properly but are empty.

Before we bought JLinkedIn, we tried it out on the live demo. JomSocial demo appears to function correctly on the demo but I cannot confirm on the Community Builder Demo because it wants a moderator to approve me.

So my thinking is that SourceCoast is using their own code, it has to be something with our configuration or LinkedIn is killing our integration.

We are running these tests on VirtualBox images.
Could that be part of the problem?

Next thought is to build on a live server and/or send some API calls manually to LinkedIn.
Thanks.

Securepro,
For the first issue you mention with JomSocial, yes, that issue is still present. LinkedIn changed how they return date-type information, and that causes problems with the Birthday field right now. Not importing the birthday field should fix that error.

As for the modules that don't work, can you let us know the information you're inputting? Alternatively, you can try the same ID's/information on the page below to see if those work for you there. If not, that's a problem or indication that you're using the wrong info:
developer.linkedin.com/plugins

As for differences between CB and JomSocial, there are many. We can help with either, but would definitely recommend focusing on one or the other, but we can help with either if necessary. Using a virtualbox shouldn't cause a problem though.

Let us know if that helps a little or clarifies things. Definitely keep us posted!

Alex
