Ok.. so, we developed and started testing a bunch of code while we sent out a few questions to Twitter regarding the change they made. We finally got a response to our question from them and the 'fix' for this problem is much, much simpler than we were making it.
To fix, please:
* Go to the
Twitter Apps Area
* Click into your app
* Go to the 'Settings' Tab
* In the 'Callback URLs' section, add all variations of your domain with 'index.php' at the end. So, for this site, we would add:
http://sourcecoast.com/index.php
http://www.sourcecoast.com/index.php
https://sourcecoast.com/index.php
https://www.sourcecoast.com/index.php
Our Twitter setup guide currently says to only put your domain in there (without the index.php)
Of course, if you don't use http or www, you don't need to add those variations, but it doesn't hurt to add any possible combinations.
We tested with 8.0.0 with that callback change and it seemed to work without issue, but I wanted to pass it along as soon as I could to get everyone going. If you do still have issues, please let us know and we'll gladly investigate further!
Thanks,
Alex
