Please upgrade to JFBConnect v6.4.0. LinkedIn made a very large change in how authentication and profile import works, and older versions of JFBConnect can have issues with the update. For more information on our updates, see our full changelog:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/general/changelog

For more information on the change LinkedIn made, please see:
developer.linkedin.com/blog/posts/2015/d...oper-program-changes
In general, they've severely limited the amount of information they will let you retrieve about a user. If you were requesting a lot of profile data, you'll want to re-check your settings and understand that much of the data you used to request may no longer be available.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your reply,
If we upgrade the jfbconnect, i have some queries are there, before upgrading the jfbconnect. please clarify the below queries

1. Is the existing database will effect if i upgrade the jfbconnect version 6.4.0 ? Because lots of users are logged in with facebook and linked in.
2. If we write some code on jfbconnect existing version extension, is the code will replace?
3. I can't find any update button under joomla administrator, for update i need to reinstall the extension?

Please clarify the above queries ASAP.

1. Is the existing database will effect if i upgrade the jfbconnect version 6.4.0 ? Because lots of users are logged in with facebook and linked in.

When you update JFBConnect, the database will not be affected. Any existing entries in the JFBConnect user map table or any configuration settings should persist to the new version.

2. If we write some code on jfbconnect existing version extension, is the code will replace?

If you have made changes directly to the JFBConnect component/plugins/modules, then yes, this code will be replaced. If you have done it via a template override or a theme, then those should remain in place. Of course, you may need to update the code in the override if JFBConnect has made any changes to methods the override is calling.

I can't find any update button under joomla administrator, for update i need to reinstall the extension?

If you find updates in the Joomla Update manager, JFBConnect should show up in the list. In order to update here, you must have set the setting for Subscriber ID in the JFBConnect component. Additionally, you can login via sourcecoast.com and download the installation manually from My Account > My Downloads link.

As always, we recommend that you do a backup of your site before the JFBConnect upgrade in case you run into any unforeseen problems.

Hi Melissa,

After upgrading the JFB connect extension (6.4.0) version, Social Login with SC Login not redirected to the page configured for returning users and it is redirecting to page configured for new users. When i tried to login with second time and so on, it is not redirecting to pre configured page. I'm not using any third party extension like jomsocial, community builder and so on, it is going to the JFBConnect login/registration page, not the Joomla users registration page. I'm using Easy jobs extension for login and registration, before it was working fine. Please help me to solve this issue ASAP.

Hope the below screen shots helps you to sort the issue.

The screenshot above shows that the user is not logged in. The page in the screenshot is also from the login / register page of JFBConnect, meaning the user has not been created at this point.

1. I pressed the login button on your home page and then clicked the LinkedIn button to login.
2. A user was created and I was brought to maslowed.me/staging/careeranalytics
3. I logged out and logged in again.
4. The following error was on the page:
"Oh, dear, we have a 0 SQL= Please try one of the following pages:"

Could you turn on error reporting to Developer or maximum in the Joomla Global Configuration area and turn on Debugging in the JFBConnect configuration area? I'd like to see if there are any other error messages. Additionally, 1) if you have any SEF extensions like SH404SEF, please disable routing for JFBConnect URLs 2) please temporarily disable any caching that you may have on your site.
