Hello,

I am having a strange issue and I am not sure how or why its happening but when I try to log out from the frontend I just get a page not found error ad have to return to the site still being logged in.

For some reason when pressing the logout button the url changes with only 'logout' being added to the end of the url with nothing else, which is why I am guessing I am getting page not found.

I did test out using the CB logout button and it works with no issue I log out normally. But as soon as trying to log ou with SClogin module all it does now is add the logout to the end of the url not letting logout happen.

I did change some menu names but I not sure if that would affect logging out as I can logout with CB.

Changing some of the menu names could be a problem if you're using a 3rd party SEF tool. Can you:
* Disable SEF URLs altogether to see if that helps. If so, let us know what SEF extension you're using is.
* Clear your Joomla caches
Hopefully one of those will get things going for you, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

No problem. I hope that helps. If not, please let us know a page to test on and we'll gladly try ourselves. If we need a standard Joomla account to test (not a social network login), please create a test one for us that we can authenticate with on the front-end like username: test, password: test.

Thanks,
Alex

I have tried the solutions but am still having the issue, no 3rd party SEF plugins are enabled. Cache has been cleared but when logging out with the SCLogin it for some reason just keeps adding "logout" to the end of the URL which then returns page not found.

I just tried your site at time....net (don't want to post the whole thing), but the site wouldn't load. Can you create a test account, like user: test, pass: test that we can try to authenticate on the front-end with and test the logout option? Also, make sure the site is up (if that's the correct one). Once we can get on and login/logout, we'll gladly investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

Sure thing. I really was only asking for a set of front-end test credentials. At this point, we don't need admin access. I don't think a full test site is required, but you're free to set one up if that's the course you want to take.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the credentials. I was able to view the site now as well. I can see that the logout is being added to the end of the the SEF URL. However, I'm not sure what's causing that. It seems like there's some SEF issue happening somewhere. If I go directly to the following URL, it also redirects me to an SEF URL with logout at the end:
index.php?option=com_users&view=logout

That link is the normal Joomla logout view, but it's still not working.

Can you try enabling the standard Joomla logout module and testing to see if it has the same behavior? My guess is that it will. The SCLogin module uses the same logout routine as Joomla itself. If you see the same behavior, that will narrow it down to it not being an SCLogin module issue. At that point, I'd recommend disabling the SEF routing and any other features that may be managing user profiles or behaviors to try to determine the cause.

I hope that helps,
Alex
