Topic-icon K2 Social sharing - Facebook not displayed when JFBC enabled

Hi forum,

When I enable the JFBC system plugin the default K2 facebook button is not being displayed.
It has something to do with this, as when I disable the plugin it does show the Facebook button.

I just can't figure out what it is.. Any suggestions?
I'm using the latest version of Joomla, JFBC, Jomsocial and K2.

With kind regards,

Wick

The K2 Facebook buttons should not be used in conjunction with JFBConnect. K2 still includes the older, deprecated all.js Facebook javascript library and JFBConnect uses the newer recommended sdk.js library. When both of the libraries are used at the same time, the Facebook buttons will not load or work properly on the page. This is why you're seeing the buttons not show up in K2 when JFBConnect is enabled.

If you would like to add the social sharing buttons to your K2 content, please enable our JFBCContent plugin and configure the appropriate K2 Like and Comment tabs in the JFBConnect > Social configuration area. Additionally, disable the social options in your K2 items.

I hope this helps clarify the problem, so let us know if you run into any further issues.

Thanks,
-Melissa

Hi Melissa, thanks for your reply.

I had actually just disabled the K2 social sharing on the pages and tried out using Joomarketers Joomsharebar, because of it's lazy loading, and that one already seems to work fine!

I am however experiencing some problems with the login with Facebook (on Facebook's end...) because of the upgrade of the API to 2.0, but I have just sent in my app for review to FB so I think that will work out fine. -So this far all things seem to work.

With kind regards,

Wick.

Glad it seems to be working better. Let us know if you run into any problems after the app is approved.
