Hi ,

I read the integration was expected in late summer on the site before purchasing but does not seem to be available as of this writing. By the way I found your configuration relatively quick,easy and well documented, nice job. I would like to be able to integrate mijo shop/open cart with the extension otherwise it is kind of useless too me because customers will need to login twice. If an add on to integrate mijoshop does not exist, Is there a way for me to configure/integrate it myself with some instructions ? if so can you send me the information or links to accomplish this. Thanks

Byron

Byron,
We started a Mijoshop plugin, but stopped development of it after they were removed from the JED. There's no judgement on our part about the quality of the extension, but not being on the JED has led to a direct reduction in the requests for Mijoshop integration.

As for JFBConnect itself, we create 100% standard Joomla users. When you say "otherwise it is kind of useless too me because customers will need to login twice", I'm not sure what you mean. When a user registers/logs in with JFBConnect, they should be recognized by Mijoshop (or any other extension) without issue. They shouldn't need to log in again to Mijoshop that I'm aware of.

The only thing our Social Profile plugins does is allow for the importing of profile data into 3rd party extensions. If you're looking to add social network login buttons to any pages of Mijoshop, you can add the following tag to any of the Mijoshop template files:
{JFBCLogin}
I hope that helps explain, but if you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex, Thanks for your response. I was not aware that the mijo extensions were delisted on jed. I had setup sc login with jfb connect completed with facebook and google or twitter. I was able to login but then I placed something in the cart and went to checkout and it prompted me with registration, guest checkout screen like I was not logged. I must have misconfigured something I spent some time trying to figure it out and gave up because I could not get it right. I then posted in the forum I will take a look further based on your explanation. If I cant figure it out, can someone take a look ? if so, can you email me an ip address I can whitelist with your preferred method for sending backend credentials for support to access the site?

Cheers,

Byron

Byron,
Definitely let us know what you find. I'm not terribly familiar with MijoShop, but will try to help however we can. JFBConnect does create users in Joomla that should work with any extension. Can you confirm that you are logged into Joomla after you login with a social network (even if not in MijoShop)? That will help narrow down where the likely problem is.

Let us know how that goes and we'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex
