I have read somewhere on your site that JFBConnect was compatible with EasyDiscus. However, I have the problem on my site that JFBConnect's social media buttons and the facebook comment form bleed into the EasyDiscuss thread.

I couldn't find anywhere in the JFBConnect or the EasyDiscuss configuration where to prevent this overlapping problem from happening.

Could you provide a URL to a page where you're seeing this problem please? It might just be some styling that we can add to your page, but I need to be able to see it first.

Here's an example of a page:

According to the EasyDiscuss people

This is a chicken and egg situation. You are using the articles plugin for EasyDiscuss to actually render a discussion / comment form on the article but this article contains these {JFBConnect} tags. When this happens, EasyDiscuss inserts the article content as a data attribute on the page but JFBConnect's system plugin is replacing those tags into html tags after EasyDiscuss have already inserted these contents. Hence, there's no real way for us to actually fix this apart from removing the quote content altogether.

....

The problem is that when the content is rendered on the page, JFBConnect should actually have a content plugin to replace those tags into it's html counterpart. However, it seems like now, it's using a system plugin to replace the output of the entire page which actually causes these tags to be replaced with html codes.

I only see the social sharing buttons at the bottom of the page under the comments, not directly below the "Ask a Question" area like your image above.

What the StackIdeas dev describe sounds like it could be a conflict between the two extensions. We've used EasyDiscuss before, but we don't directly test with it. I'm not sure what the "Articles plugin" is for EasyDiscuss, but if it's inserting an article into the page, then there could be problems with our tags.. However, what normally would happen is that the {JFBCComment} tag would show on the page.. not the actual comment box.

What you show in the image above looks like a simple CSS issue. If you can point to the right page where we can see the problem, we should be able to help investigate the conflict and provide a CSS fix for you.

Let us know a good page to test on and we'll help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

That's bizarre. The problem has suddenly gone away. I'll get back to you if I find the problem on another page.
