In general when you receive a 404 error for a callback on social network login, this is because the application's redirection URL's have not been set up correctly. Please visit our application setup guides for the social network you're seeing the error on to verify that they are set up correctly - www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/soci...etwork-applications/ If this doesn't resolve the issue, please provide more information such as which social network you're logging into and a URL that the error is occurring on.

Also, this statement is very vague - "from nothing to login via social networks started to not work", so if there is something other than social network login that is also not working with JFBConnect or SCLogin, you will need to provide more details such as the steps you are taking on the site on which specific URL's, what you're expecting to see, any error messages that are displayed, etc.

First of all thank the support.
My client wants the public domain is not, so I moved everything to a new domain of testing (Posted private message).
I promptly changed data only app of facebook (new domain name) to search for a solution, however, because they all have the same problem.

The situation is the following:

The platform is a social network so it was installed jomsocial integrating data logging through jfbconnect. Until November 1 (Day backup) everything worked properly.

After a break of 15 days I went back to work on the social and strangely I returned error 404 is the first attempt to access \ registration. Logged out and redone access via facebook perfettametne everything works because the user was successfully created (Without you import data from facebook, I assume because of the error 404).

Thinking of bribing some files having edited the component for my needs, I restored the entire domain to the state functioning of November 1 but despite the recovery recording via social networks always returns 404 error.
I also changed the server thinking it's a problem to rewrite the url but nothing done.

I can not understand what the problem is because the callback url is correct:
/index.php?option=com_jfbconnect&task=authenticate.login&provider=facebook&return=Lw==&67c19ced6161002a994c8f8a5533c145=1

I send the link via private domain and login information for any eventuality

Thanks for support

Sincerely

Luca,

Issue 1:
After logging into your site, it seems that the 404 error is occurring because SMTP email is failing being sent out and JFBConnect should handle the failure more gracefully than it actually is. I went into your Joomla Global Configuration settings and temporarily switched the Mail Settings to use PHP Mail. This got me past the 404 error and I was able to create a user with Facebook. Going forward, you can a) figure out and correct why SMTP mail is not being sent properly b) keep the different mail setting or c) disable sending email to new users in JFBConnect. I will put an issue into our tracker to fix graceful handling of mailing errors.

Issue 2:
While I was able to connect to Facebook, there were some warnings/errors on the page for creating the avatar in JomSocial. This seems very much like a file or folder permissions problem. Here is an attached screenshot (in English, but you should be able to reproduce this easily):
File Attachment:

Please let me know if you have any questions or have further issues after getting the ability to copy files corrected for the avatars.

Very much thanks for having understood the problem. The warnings that pop up are caused by the change domain and not having set perfectly configuration.php returns these errors.

I will correct the problem on the domain of testing. Once transferred to the official domain I do know if the problem persists or not.

For the moment, thank you very much
