Hi SourceCoast,

When a user return to my site I would like them to see there own page as fast as possible. The question is a bit tricky to ask, but let me see if I can explain it.

Situation 1: If I create an account via the joomla login modul, tick of "remember me" and then a couple of days later return to page it shows "my" homepage right away.

Situation 2: If I connect my account to Facebook profile or registre with facebook and uses "auto login user" it will log me in via facebook.

However, situation 2 is slower than situation 1. It is possible to configure JFC-connect and the Social login modul in such a way that

A) when registering with facebook it - in addition to creating a facebook user-link - it will set the new use as a normal user and then enable remember me
B) set behaviour in such a way that default first ro check if "remember me (joomla)" is active and only use facebook auto login in case "remember me" is not active

At other sites where I sign in using facebook it does not appere that the site reconnect with facebook each time I return,

Setting the session timer to very high gives problems with the Auto-login feature.

Sorry if the question is unclear, but feel free to try registre, login and return with diffrent options at www.timecapsule.gallery

Please ignore the above question. I need to do more testing to be sure it's just not an artifact of my browsers.

Hi SourceCoast,

Okay - I have done some more testing. This include swapping the order around of all the JFBC-plugins and disable several of them at a time.

What I am trying to get is a work-flow that is something like this:

1) User sign up with JFBConnect via the SCLogin module (remember me enabled, but hiddent)
2) Next time the user returns he will automatically logged in via the remember me functionality

3) If the user decide to use another PC/browser/tablet/phone JFBConnect should check if there is an active Facebook cookie/session and if so login the user prefrebely without having to "reconnect" to facebook.
4) Ensure the user will remain login via the remember me functionality (like 2)

Thanks

Søren,
The Remember Me functionality of the SCLogin module is separate from social network authentication. Remember Me only works for users logging in with their Joomla credentials. Social network authentication uses an entirely different scheme which we can't leave the user logged in in a similar way. With that said:
1) No problem. Again, the hidden Remember me won't have any effect on the user logging in with a social network
2) If you have the "Automatically Log Facebook Users In", then the user will be automatically logged in *if* they are already logged into Facebook.com in another tab
3) This should work the same as #2.
4) Again, this can't be done, but we can automatically log Facebook users when we detect they are already logged in.

I hope that helps explain, but if you need anything else, just let us know.
