Getting this error when registering using Jomsocial and your ext

Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. Cookie /n

The only way to bypass it is to clear my cookies and try again. Sometimes I have to do it several times before it takes. I'm using Chrome in testing this out. I didn't have the same problem with IE. Also when I get this message I can't enter the website at all. Every attempt to go into that domain result in the same error. I HAVE to clear the cookie to even gain access to the admin area.

I just registered, logged out and logged back in without any issues. I was using Chrome 38.0.2125.122, which is the latest.

I'm not sure what's happening for you, but can you try:
* Disabling any Chrome add-ons/extensions you may have enabled
* Try from a different computer using Chrome

Let me know if either of those change the behavior. I'm not sure what would be causing that error as we haven't seen it before. Additionally, since IE and my version of Chrome work, it's a good indicator that it's something funky with how Chrome is working on your computer.

Of course, let us know how that goes, and we'll gladly help diagnose things however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

I reinstalled Chrome and ran without any extra exts being enabled but got the same issue. This makes me a little nervous. I guess long as it's working for other users I'm fine.
I have another question but I think ill make a new post for this.

It's definitely working for me, and (again) it's not something any other users have reported. I'm unsure what cookie could be set that would cause such an issue. The error message above is presented to you (the user). There usually is a more detailed error message in your Apache system logs that may have additional information on the actual request that causes the problems. I'd recommend finding that log (or contacting your hosting provider to do so), which may shed some light on what's actually happening.

Let me know if that helps narrow things down. We never like hearing about issues for users, even if it may be uncommon for normal visitors of your site, and will do whatever we can to help get around the problem.

Thanks,
Alex
