On sourcecoast.com, our Log In and Register links are not actually part of the menu. We are using the SCLogin as a module and displaying in a template position near the menu. The module has then been styled to have a consistent look with the menu and is set up to use the 'Modal Popup' view type and 'Text Links' to launch the modal.
For the link
www.iheartsin.com/index.php/login that you provided, it looks like you added the SCLogin module to the Joomla user login page. An easier way to add the social buttons to that page, without getting redirected to JFBConnect's login/register page is to set the 'Integrate into Joomla Login' option in the JFBConnect > Configuration > General section. I think this might be causing some of the confusion that you are having.
In general, if you use the SCLogin module and click the social network button, you are brought to JFBConnect's login/register page. You can see that page by clicking on your FB button on the
www.iheartsin.com/index.php/login URL. This is as expected, but if you do not like this view then you can either a) create a template override for our component/com_jfbconnect/views/loginregister/tmpl/default.php file or b) enable the 'Social Profiles - Joomla' plugin and set the Registration Component to Joomla and the user should be forced to your Joomla Registration page instead of JFBConnect's.
I think this should steer you in the right path, but please let us know if you have any further issues.
