Topic-icon Tried to update with expired subscription-now fatal error

I found 4 updates after logging into Joomla after a few months, with one of the updates being JCFBConnect. Whilst trying to update it threw a 404 error and did not update, but now when I try to access the frontpage I get a fatal error.

Of course right now I don't want to pay the subscription yet, because the product was working ok and the upgrade broke it.

Can you please help?

Thanks
David

David,

Can you tell me what versions of JFBConnect and SCLogin your site says are installed right now? You mention there were four updates in the Joomla Update Manager - was one of them SCLogin? That release does not require a subscription and there might be a compatibility issue if you've upgraded SCLogin but not JFBConnect.

Could you also tell me the fatal error that you're seeing? That might help narrow things down.

There error is :

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JFBCFactory::getLoginButtons() in /public_html/askdorianne3/modules/mod_sclogin/helper.php on line 415

I'm not sure whether SC Login was one of them, for sure there was an update for JFBCConnect, whether it was generic or one of the modules, I'm not sure...

Versions
SC Login: <version>4.2.3</version>

JFBC Connect: 6.0.3.

Thanks

Yes, that version of SCLogin is incompatible with your version of JFBConnect. You will need SCLogin v4.0.3.

I have temporarily published SCLogin v4.0.3 for you at
www.sourcecoast.com/index.php?option=com_ars&view=release&id=55 - please let me know when you have downloaded it and I will unpublish it again.

You can also find the SCLogin package in your original JFBConnect installation package zip under /packages/modules/mod_sclogin.zip

Thanks Mel, it's fixed now!

Mel, would it be possible for me to get a copy of the original install package because I lost it when my hard disk went bust :(

Thanks
