Email Authentication was created by annib
Hi,

prior to setting up JFB connect, I had a plugin which allowed users to use their email address as a username.
The plugin is still installed, and as the registering process is set to use Joomla, it should still be working.

When I click on register, a form gets displayed asking for username, password and email. Where can I change this form to delete the email fields and change the labels for username to username/email?

Do you think it will still work?

Many thanks
Anni

Anni,

What is the page that you're brought to when you hit the register button?

If it's something like http://yourdomain/index.php?option=com_jfbconnect&view=loginregister... then that is JFBConnect's Login/Register page and can be configured easily from JFBConnect. There would be text on the page like "Thanks for signing in using Facebook. Do you already have an account on this site, or would you like to create one?" If so, I would suggest you play around with the JFBConnect > Configuration > General > Normal Registration section for showing Username field and hiding Email field on registration. Then you can also update the 'COM_JFBCONNECT_USERNAME' language string in the language/LANG_PREFIX/LANG-PREFIX.com_jfbconnect.ini file.

If you're being brought to a different page, please show me a screenshot/URL/etc.

Thanks
-Melissa
