JFBConnect doesn't have a social login component view. If you're looking to redirect users to a registration or login form, we recommend using the standard Joomla login and register forms. JFBConnect has a setting for "Integrate with Joomla Login" setting which will automatically add the social login to those views, which is why it's not necessary for us to duplicate the standard login and registration forms.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Hey Alex,

Thanks for the response. Really a newbie here - so please bear with me as I explain. We are using DJ-classifieds and it is using Joomla user registration. So a user registers and then has a series of optional fields they can add like date of birth etc. We installed JFBconnect and we were able to register and clicked on edit profile and were able to fill out the other fields. However, now it is gone and the only option that is now available is to delete the profile photo. We did it over with another account and we registered and was able to edit the other fields but then again it disappeared only allowing us to edit the photo.

So can we use JFBconnect for users to register and/or login and once logged in users can filled out the rest of their profile. Is this possible?

Appreciate.

I'm not really sure what you mean by this. Are you saying that 'normal' Joomla users are able to edit their profile, but once they connect their account to Facebook, they no longer have the ability to edit it?

That's strange behavior that we've never heard of before. In general, JFBConnect creates 100% standard Joomla users and only 'extends' the user with additional information about their social network connections. My best guess in this case is to ensure that the users that are linked by JFBConnect to a social network are in the same User Group as all other users. You can view the user groups in the User Manager and possible in some section of your DJ Classifieds component.

I hope that helps narrow things down, but if you get any more information on what's going wrong, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
