Hi
thanks for the great product, which is going well, except for one problem so far. Sharing an article to FB displays no image.
I've read all there is on this forum about it, but still have no solution.

Be warned: I'm going to need you to treat me like a five year old to get this sorted :)

I'm running Joomla! 3.3.6 Stable

Thanks in advance

I see that you are still running JFBConnect 6.2.2. The first thing that I would recommend is that you upgrade to our latest JFBConnect v6.2.3. There was a known bug in 6.2.2 directly related to setting the Open Graph tags (like image and description).

After upgrading, please manually re-scrape the page you're testing with the Facebook Open Graph Debugger (developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/) or our site (socialdebug.com). After re-scraping, please retry the Share Preview on that page to see if that helps.

If you're still having issues after the upgrade, let me know and we can help you investigate further.

Thanks
-Melissa

Thanks for the quick reply

Update done. Still no image.

Debug says
Mismatch og:url and canonical url
og:url tag in the header is not the same URL as rel='canonical' link in the html.

Here's hoping you know what that means, because I haven't a clue!

Could you retry? I re-scraped the page myself and the Preview showed the image when I clicked on the Share button on your page. Plus I did not see the error you mentioned for the URL mismatch of og:url and canonical URL.

It's just like the electric blanket that never worked. You bring it back to the shop, they plug it in and it works!!

That's the story of my life! Thanks for your help :)

LOL :)

I just wanted to mention that Facebook may take awhile to re-scrape all of the pages on your site. They say about 48 hours, but I'd give it a week. Until then, if you see any of the images not show up correctly in the preview, please scrape them manually with socialdebug.com or developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
