Hi Alex,

after installing JFBC 6.2.1 on a new testsite I have again the problems with Google Connect....

What did I do:

1.) I made all required settings in JFBC
2.) I logged in with my Joomla Account
3.) I connect with Google
4.) At the first time I have been connected
5.) I logged out of the site
6.) I clicked again at teh Google Button

Following happens:
www.portal-regional.at/index.php?option=...Syjz_MlCJoi32az2SkQI

The site will not be redirected to my site back

By clicking the back button in my browser I come back to my site and I´m logged in my site with Google...

In Profile settings I have disabled for testing whoch prevents Google to switch back to my site :
Import Avatar : Disabled

With this settings the Login process works successful...

Awaiting you reply,
Thank, Karl

What Social Profile plugins do you have enabled? You mention that disabling the avatar import feature works for you, but can you tell me what extension the avatar is trying to be imported into and what version of that extension you're using.. like JomSocial v3.2.3.1, etc.

That will help us narrow things down.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex!
For intensive Testing I installed a fresh Joomla Test Site. You can reach this site here:
www.portal-regional.at/2014fbc/http://ww...regional.at/2014fbc/

Joomla Version: 3.3.6
Jomsocial Version: 3.2.1.4
JFBConnect: 6.2.1

I made following settings in these components. I attached this settings via Image Screenshots.

I discovered follwoing with my google Plus Account:

a.) In Profile Import with this settings I´m redirected back to the website and I´m logged In with my google account:
Always Import Profile Data - disabled
Import Avatar - enabled
Import Cover Photo - enabled

Notice: In JFBC User Table - Avatar is imported - but nothing in Jomsocial / all other settings like Gender Webmail or URL are not imported

b.) In Profile Import with this settings I´m redirected back to the website and I´m logged In with my google account:
Always Import Profile Data - enabled
Import Avatar - disabled
Import Cover Photo - enabled

Notice: In JFBC User Table - Avatar is imported - but nothing in Jomsocial / all other settings like Gender Webmail or URL are not imported

c.) In Profile Import with this settings I´m NOT redirected back to the website I´m not redirected to my page and get blank page with following URL:
www.portal-regional.at/2014fbc/index.php...Syjz_MlCJoi2uuKeckQI

When I click the back Button of my Webbrowser I´m logged IN

Always Import Profile Data - enabled
Import Avatar - enabled
Import Cover Photo - enabled

So my questions:
Did I made wrong settings in the comoponents/modules?
Are there problems with my google+ Account?
Is there a bug or problem with the Profile Jomsocial plugin?

I hope you can help me to resolve this big Problems....

Awaiting your reply,
With best regards, Karl

Hi all,

I have a similar issue with Facebook Today (redirect to 404 page after login failed, click "back" still not loggin in) and I have upgraded to the latest JFBConnect yesterday (tested without issue immediately after the upgraded); and the issue happened only starting today. Same issue with Google with message "We were unable to retrieve your Google account information. Please try again."

Note:
- Disabling import avatar doesn't work for my case.
- Google and Facebook both failure after upgrading to Joomla 3.3.6 and JFB Connect 6.2.1
- My case, using EasySocial 1.3.6
- I have below message while trying to use autotune > basic info (I've been using JFBConnect for 6 months without problem, until I've upgrade to F3.3.6 and JFBC 6.2.1 yeaterday), with the recent CDN cert upgrade. Our site IP are shielded and we have to connect our joomla Admin with real IP only. (maybe it's false alarm since we won't use IP to connect via front-end)
Error
SSL Verification Failed. Set 'Disable SSL Certificate Validation' to Yes in the JFBConnect Configuration

Facebook API Error: Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)

Facebook Application configuration could not be loaded. Please check your App ID and Secret Key

Let me guess, are you using the "incapsula CDN"? I know they have just upgrade the SSL certificate with SHA-2 and guess this Facebook/Google API not support the latest SHA-2 formatted SSL cert. I am still figuring out how to fix this...

also using :

Joomla Version: 3.3.6
JFBConnect: 6.2.1

I tried to disable the ReDJ components and capture the real error screen from Joomla, after redirection from FB validation.

Hi Team,

Sorry for any inconvenienced caused. I found the caused! I just simply REBOOT the server (Apache) and my issue fix (not sure if the same for kstockl); I guess it due to the changed cerficiate or maybe I just upgrade also the PHP 5.4 minor fixes that leads to the problem.

drmadbum,
First, awesome username. Next, I'm glad to hear you figured out the solution. I was a bit confused, so not sure what I would have recommended.. and glad I don't have too.

kstockl,
I just tried to register on your site using my Google+ account. Automatic registration looks to be disabled as I had to go through the standard JomSocial registration process. During that flow, many fields were automatically filled out for me. I added the required ones. Once done, I was logged in and my profile looked like:
File Attachment:

Things seemed to work that way. Are you seeing the same behavior with Auto Registration disabled?

One odd thing was that JomSocial seems to have a bug where it wasn't accepting my Google+ URL. The URL was plus.google.com/+AlexAndreae1 . My guess is that JomSocial didn't like the + in there, which should be acceptable. One thing to try is to disable that mapping to see if that helps the registration process works.

Finally, if you get back into the state where you get a white page during registration, please go to the Joomla -> Global Configuration area and set "Error Reporting" to "Maximum". That should show a real PHP error message on the blank page which will help narrow things down.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex!

A question about your Registration. As I told you in this posts the first time you are login all seems to working. But after Log out of the site and try to Login with your Googel+ Account I got the white page without redirect to my site. Did you check this too?

Another thing:

USER wrote: Finally, if you get back into the state where you get a white page during registration, please go to the Joomla -> Global Configuration area and set "Error Reporting" to "Maximum". That should show a real PHP error message on the blank page which will help narrow things down.

I changed the settings in Backend but when I try to Log in into my Testsite with my google+ Account no Errors are reported.... just the white page and the long URL as I described in my first post.

By the way:

I tried to Login with my other Google Account (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and tested JFBC with this Email.
1.) I was asked for my password in google then I was redirected to my website to Register with Jomsocial.
2.) I had to click the NEXT Button 2 times to get to next page of Register form.
3.) After register at my site I was Logged into my site.
4.) Logged out
5.) Logged in again
6.) With this Email account the site works....

It´s very strange and I´m not able to configure out where to search for this Error.

I gave you Super User Account at my Testsite for playing around with settings... Maybe you´ll find a solution for this strange thing.

With best Regards, Karl
