Hi,

I have Kunena and JFBConnect on my site and I'm trying to integrate both so that I will get the FB profiles of my users in Kunena.

As a first step , I have setup the in the profiles tab of the JFBConnect component the mapping for my db and the fb profiles as recommended.

There is already the first show stopper. Eventhough I provided the right user and pw for the db of my site, I get when going back to the profiles tab the following error (see attachement).

i know where the profiles tab info is stored in the db but I'm unlikely to change it there. Is there any other way to get me back on that profiles tab or this a kind of bug?

Furthermore, will it be then the only thing I would need to do to get my Kunena user profiles synced with the site/fb login details of my users. There is not a real good documentation how to do this on your site but only bits and pieces of information all over the place.

Can you go to your Plugin Manager and go to the "Social Profiles" group of plugins. In there, unpublish the "Custom DB" plugin, if enabled. Also, check to make sure the Social Profiles - Kunena plugin is enabled.

Hopefully, the MySQL error you posted above is from a mis-configuration of the Custom DB profile integration. That plugin is used to store user profile data into a custom database table. If you're using Kunena, which we already support, you should use that plugin instead.

Once you've enabled the Kunena plugin, the Profiles area should show up properly and let you easily select the data you want to import from each social network and how it maps into Kunena's profile.

I hope that helps, but if not, or you have any other questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
