Intro:

I purchased JFBConnect & It works a charm from my home page (from all pages actually, by clicking on the Login/Register buttons on the top-bar)

However, I have one glaring issue that needs to be ironed out.
Basically, this is a classifieds website & has a parameter 'Contact only for registered' which I set to YES to force users to register if they need to view vendor contact information.
So Basically an unregistered user would be greeted with a link that says "Please login to view contact details."

The trouble is, when he clicks on above link, it takes him to the 'Joomla Login module'. The expectation is that this should point to the SCLogin & not the limited Joomla one.

How can I make this happen?
In short, all authentication related links on the site should only point to the SCLogin module & not the native Joomla module..

If you could suggest me please, how to accomplish this..

Thanks in advance

Davis

Following up, I had contacted my template provide as well & this is their reply:

Hello,

DJ-Classifieds is using Joomla user component. There are two login views available:
- component view
- module view
SCLogin is just a module view, so when a user will be redirected to login, he will see the login component view.
What you can try to do is:
1) Create a login menu item on hidden menu
2) Assign SClogin module to the previously created menu item.
This way a user will see the component view and SClogin module on the same page.

I will wait for your guidance before proceeding on a solution.
PLease help

Thanks

Davis,
What the developer mentions is correct. Joomla has a standard Login Page. It's not actually a login module, it's the login view of the Users component.

You can do what the developer above recommends by creating an article with an intro explaining why to register on your site, then creating a 'hidden' menu item for it (a menu item with no menu module published to show that menu). Then configure the SCLogin module to show in a module position on that menu item. With that, you'll have a nice intro area along with the SCLogin module to login using a social network or the standard Joomla credentials.

Besides that though, and much simpler, in the JFBConnect -> Configuration area is a "Integrate with Joomla Login" option. Set that to Top or Bottom and JFBConnect will automatically add the social login buttons to the standard Joomla registration and Login pages.

There's more flexibility with the layout and looks when using the first option, but it's a little more difficult. The 2nd option is easier and may just work for you.

I hope that helps, but if you need anything else, just let me know!

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you Alex. I went for the second simpler option & that works for me.

I still have an issue with Kunena, perhaps better to have a separate thread for that..

Thanks
