Ogg Image was created by wesleyderbyshire
With upgrades, FB changes, etc, the Ogg Image seems to be a never ending problem. This time I can not figure out why the image is not included when posting to FB, and specified as being too small when scraping the page in the FB Dev page. Title and description work fine, but not the image. Here are a couple of URL's which I am trying to post, each of which should show the album artwork.

** note: This Marley one worked fine a few weeks ago, but now the image won't appear if I add the link to an FB post.

Thanks for your help in advance,
Wesley

From the Facebook Debug Tool, it seems like Facebook can't access the image at all. The dimensions aren't necessarily wrong, Facebook just can't fetch the image at all. You can see that because in the og:image listing further down in the page, there is no image shown there. Usually it will show any images it finds, even if they are too small.

I tried running your site through a few different checker tools. Most passed, but one that has been consistently reliable for us in the pass always indicates your site is returning a 406 error code when loading any page (the image or even the page itself):

I'd have to recommend:
* Looking through your Apache access logs to determine what response code is being returned when Facebook scans your page
* In general, don't use images with spaces in the file name. Spaces are not recommended as the behavior is not always the same when loading in different browsers and tools

I hope that helps get you started,
Alex

Thank you. I removed the spaces from the image file names, updated the articles, and ran it through the FB Linter, then posted on FB. It works fine now. What I am still unclear about is how this changed, as it worked fine in the past with spaces in the image file names. But, now it works and hopefully won't break again.

Thanks again!
Wesley

It's likely a change on Facebook's end with the scraping of the page and fetching of the images. It could be a temporary bug on their part or it could be that they fixed another issue which broke spaces (or expects a different format).

That's why I said "in general" above, since spaces are somewhat indeterminate of how a browser or automated tool will handle them. Some use it as a space, some switch spaces to %20 and others do different things. Not using spaces may help prevent other issues with Facebook or other services (or browsers) in the future as well.

Glad to hear things are working now,
Alex
