Safari Beta in latest Yosemite Beta 2 can't hold FB Connect session on my site. Every time I navigate to a different page or refresh the page it is logged off and it tries to log on again... basically it logs on and off all the time. Doesn't stay logged on.

We haven't tested with the Safari Beta yet, though will try to get it soon to investigate. Can you let me know:
* Do you have the problem with any other browsers in Yosemite?
* If you user the Safari Beta on this site, do you run into the same issue?

Other things to check/test:
* Disable any caching you have turned on either in the Global Configuration area or from a 3rd party extension or your template.
* Turn off any optimization extensions you have enabled for compressing the page or contents of your site.

Let me know how that goes. We haven't heard of this issue before, but will gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank Alex, here is the information you requested.
1. No, the problem is exclusive to the new Safari Beta. (Firefox, Nightly, Chrome, Canary, Opera etc. work fine)
2. No, I cannot replicate the issue on this site.
3. It is not a caching issue. (I have tried disabling caching, tried clearing cache... even tried CCleaner)
4. It does not seem to be linked to optimizations nor compression.

Another bit of valuable info: This issue only happens on EasySocial related pages. Also, I am running EasySocial 1.3 beta 2.

Interesting debugging. So it's with 2 different beta pieces of software.

Can you try authenticating to EasySocial using standard Joomla credentials and see if navigating around causes the disconnect to happen? I'm not sure how this would be specific to JFBConnect and, since you mention, it only happens within EasySocial, it may not be related to our extension at all.

Alternatively, if you have a site you can test on the stable EasySocial 1.2, that would really help narrow things down as well.

We will be testing soon with the new EasySocial beta, but that's not planned for at least another few days due to its early state.

Thanks,
Alex

Yeah, I am cutting edge, what can I tell you. ;-) Yeah, Alex. You know what, you are actually right. Now that I realized it was exclusive to EasySocial, I decided to report it as a bug over at Stackideas. It seems that it is mostly on their end.

No problem for the help. I hope you or they determine the issue. Of course, if you come back to JFBConnect as a possible cause of the problem, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks Alex. I always appreciate the great support you provide. I am happy to inform you that after getting the guys at Stackideas to diagnose the problem, we figured out that it simply was a caching problem. So after running CCleaner and clearing all data connected to Safari, I got the site to run as intended. :)
