Hello, I'm using the JFBC connect plugin in order to allow login through LinkedIn. Everything is working fine except that when I try to login with a wrong password the form does not show a wrong password message but keep showing the loading icon and this never stops. Here is the website:

ukootravel.com

Check the "Login" button at the top right corner.

I've disabled the standard registration page because users will be able to open an account only through a specific link. Could that be the reason for the error?

The login module you're using in the top right is not our SCLogin module. I'm not sure what's causing the loading icon to appear there, but you'd need to contact the developers of that module if you need assistance.

If you switch to the SCLogin module that comes with JFBConnect, which will also show the social login buttons on the login form, and run into any issues with it, just let us know and we'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

My bad! Indeed it is created with another plugin so there is nothing to do with you.

I have another question through. I'm using the SC login module so I can associate JomSocial profile fields with LinkedIn. The SC module is working with no problems except that when i say that I don't want to see logout button I don't see the the LinkedIn button at all.

Let me explain the work flow a bit so you can get an idea...So, a user creates an account through the standard Joomla registration page. Yet, he does not want to have his Linkedin account associated with the profile on our website. In that case, this person will see a LinkedIn associate button at the top right corner of the site (the location of the button is no point of discussion at the moment). It is Ok to see the LinkedIn button but I don't want him to see the Logout button. If I go at the SC module settings and click disable the Logout button it disappears, but the Linkedin button disappears too.

Do you want me to send you some login credentials for the website? I've made no modifications to the SC module files so I hope you can find the source of the problem quickly.

When you disable the Logout button, the LinkedIn button hides.. when you enable it, the Logout button and the LinkedIn button displays? I'm not sure why that would be happening, as it's not an issue we've heard of before.

Please also make sure the "Show Connect Account Buttons" setting is also enabled in the SCLogin module. That's what will show the social login buttons to users that are logged in. It will *only* show buttons for accounts the user hasn't already linked to their Joomla account.

So, once a user connects their LinkedIn account to your site, they will not see the LinkedIn button in the SCLogin module when they are logged in.

One last thing to note is that when a user clicks the LinkedIn button, even when already logged in, their LinkedIn account will be associated to their existing Joomla account. At that point, the user will be able to log in with their LinkedIn or Joomla accounts. That's how the profile import feature works.. it makes a connection between the social network and their Joomla account.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex
