Hi,
I don't know what does it mean -
Object at URL 'www.plipli.com.au/jobs/ad/hospitality,64/,977' of type 'website' is invalid because a required property 'og:title' of type 'string' was not provided.

I have previously used CloudFlare, and it was working fine when doing facebook share. After deactivated cloudflare, the OG data content including title, images, description are not showing up.

What can I do in order to fix this?

thanks in advanced.

cheers
Mike

Mike,
You likely have the "GZip Compression" setting in the Joomla -> Global Configuration area set to "Yes". We're not sure why, but that setting is causing problems on some servers with Facebook's ability to scrape the data from your page. This is not a JFBConnect-specific issue, but something we're planning to investigate to determine the cause and see if we can fix it somehow.

I hope that helps, but if not, please let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Yes it works again after I turned GZip compression off. But my site might get slower. Hope this issue will be fixed in the future updates.

Thanks again!

cheers

Mike,
It may cause a slight page load increase, but will be offset by slightly less processing time from your server to generate the page itself. Some servers also automatically perform gZip compression, which means that the Joomla setting should be off anyways. I don't know if your server is configured that way.

Again, we do plan to investigate, but this is *not* an issue with JFBConnect. We set the tags on the page, but something is going wrong with the compression that Joomla is doing to make the page unreadable by Facebook. It may also be a Facebook issue. We will do whatever we can to fix it, but I'm not sure we'll be able to.

I'm glad you got things going for now though, and definitely keep us posted if you run into anything else.

Thanks,
Alex
