Hi. Im trying to configure the social channels in the back end.

I have gotten up to the point where I had to link my account to the facebook by logging in to the website from the front end with SCLogin. I did this, but now in the back end configuration settings I am getting this message:

The selected user has not granted the "manage_pages" permission. Please have them login on the front-end of the site and accept the correct permission.

Problem is, when I logout then relogin to the website (using facebook, and just my login details) I don't get any prompt to accept the permissions. How do I enable manage_pages permission?

Thanks

edit: I've also logged into facebook to see if the permissions had to be enabled there? But nothing came up.

second edit: this is the FB app: For some reason its not accessible. does this have anything to do with it: apps.facebook.com/atlantiscorp/

third edit: DO i need SSL on my website for this stuff to work?

No, you do not need an SSL certificate installed on your site for most features of Facebook integration. That includes posting content back to your Facebook Pages or reading the feed from your page.

To show your site within a Facebook Canvas area, you *do* need an SSL certificate.

What I would recommend is deleting the channel in the JFBConnect -> Channels area.
Then, recreate it and select the user that's already logged in using Facebook on your site.
Then, log back into the front-end of your site with that user using Facebook. At that point, the new permission should be asked.

If not, please let me know, and we'll gladly help investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi THanks. That worked. Unfortunately now I'm having a separate issue all together.

Please try to login with facebook on my website at the bottom login module:

www.atlantiscorp.com.au

It gives an SSL Timeout Error (28).

No idea why? It was working yesterday and now it's not. I have cleared cache and still it persists.

Not sure either. I just went to that page, and the Facebook button isn't showing in the bottom right. Can you re-enable it so we can investigate further?

Thanks,
Alex
