Hello,

New users dont have validation link in email after registering and I have set the configuration-user-validation method to "auto validation".

When I set to "administror" they have validation link but they can't log with my confirmation in user administration.

Can you help me ?

Sorry for my english...

Are you using any 3rd party profile extensions, like Community Builder, EasySocial or JomSocial? Those extensions also have their own activation settings which may be conflicting.

Another suggestion is to set the "Skip Joomla Activation" setting in JFBConnect to "Yes". That will bypass user activations so the user can login immediately. Users that register using the standard Joomla registration flow will still have to activate their accounts.

The reason to do that is because most social networks have already validated the users email address, so you shouldn't have to do it again.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Yes Im using Jomsocial, registration component in JFB connect is set to "JFBConnect"

I have set "Skip Joomla activation" to "YES" and try all user activations parameters:

If user activation set to "No activation" ("Aucune" in french) ---> user get no mail confirmation and when they try to log: "Failed to authenticate: Access Denied" (user not active and not actived in administration")

If user activation set to "Auto-activation"---> user get a mail without activation mail (but with username and password) and when they try to log:"Failed to authenticate: Access Denied" (user not active and not actived in administration")

If user activation set to Administrator --> user get a mail with 2 DIFFERENTS ACTIVATIONS LINKS and when they try to login: "Login denied! Your account has either been blocked or you have not activated it yet." (user actived but not active in user administration)

If you want to try : www.webmaster-seotools.com

----EDIT: User registering with Facebook can login

(Again sorry for my english, I use french language in administration so some words can change...)

I just registed on your site using Facebook. I was automatically logged in, as expected, and my new user email looked like:

Hello Alex Sourcecoast,

Thank you for registering at Webmaster Seo Tools.

You may now log in to www.webmaster-seotools.com/ using your facebook credentials or the following username and password:

Username: fb_10202423326165074
Password: xxyyzz

That's what I'd expect to see.

Can you tell me how you are testing, because I can't recreate this problem.

Thanks,
Alex
