Topic-icon Joomla User Logged in with Facebook not recognised by site components

I'm using JFBConnect to offer an easier option for potential customers to register with my website, instead of using the Joomla registration process.

There is an option on the website to purchase membership for specific activities, which is managed by the RS Membership component.

The problem is, when I'm logged in using JFBConnect Facebook, RS Membership does not recognise the user as valid and won't let me do any of the activities it controls. However if I'm logged in as the same user, using the standard Joomla login, RSMembership recognises me as a user and allows me to continue. The services it controls are available to users in the "registered" user group, which is the group applied to all users registering and logging in using JFBConnect/Facebook. For some reason, users connected using Facebook are not recognised as "proper" users. This even happens on the Super User account.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

When you login with JFBConnect, does the standard Joomla login module show the user as logged in as well (is there a logout button in that module)? If so, it means that JFBConnect is properly logging the user in and Joomla is detecting the user is actually logged in. You can test with any other modules as well to see how they react to logging in with JFBConnect.

In other extensions report the user as logged in, it's likely an issue with RSMembership not properly detecting something, but I can't imagine what.

One other thing to try is disabling any Social Profile plugins you have enabled, just to see if those are somehow causing issues.

Hopefully, that will narrow things down further as to where the issue is. Let us know what you find, and best of luck.
