Hi,

I am using the latest JFBConnect and SCLogin module but lately I realize that the SCLogin login gives me error when I try to login. After I type in the user and password, the URL becomes mydomain.com/mod_sec.html with page showing the following error text:
The page you are trying to access is restricted due to a security rule.

If you believe the security rule is affecting the normal operation of your website, contact your host support team and provide detailed instructions how to recreate this error.
They will be able to assist you with rectifying the problem and adjusting the security configuration if needed.

This error happen to direct login and also during post-logout of Google+

I use EasySocial registration on my website, so I did a test on EasySocial login, which is okay. Apparently this error is caused by JFBConnect/SCLogin components.

Please help shed light on this issue

The SCLogin module submits the user credentials to the standard Joomla login component. The SCLogin module itself doesn't actually control the login process, that's handled completely by Joomla.

It sounds like mod_security, a component of the Apache web server, is blocking the requests for some reason. You'll likely need to contact your hosting company to determine what rule is being violated and determine how to decrease the restrictions so that it can pass.

Another test you can try is simply using the standard Joomla mod_login module and see if that causes the security exception as well. If so, that proves that it's not a JFBConnect/SCLogin issue, but a problem with the standard Joomla login functionality and the rules in mod_security.
