Topic-icon Issues with logging in and redirection.

I installed JFBConnect on a friend's site and have an issue with "invalid token" upon first login attempt. When it does login it redirects to a different page even though it is set to redirect to same page.

Is this with standard Joomla logins or with social logins?

If it's with standard user credentials in the SCLogin, please try disabling caching in either the SCLogin Advanced parameters area or within Joomla in general.

As for the redirection, what page are you being redirected to? My guess is that there's a plugin on your site that's hijacking the login redirection to take the user somewhere else. I'd recommend going through your plugins to see if anything may be trying to push the user to a different page on login.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Thank you for your fast response. Your suggestion of turning off cache for the module fixed the issue. I think that also took care of the redirect as well.

Hi Alex,

I'm having similar issues:

J 3.3.1 | JS 3.2.0.6 | JFBC 6.0.6 | SCLogin 4.0.6

When new user registers and clicks activation link from email the following happens:

User is redirected to Joomla core component login page - I need this redirected to JS page instead (I believe this is a JFBC override that is happening)

I've disabled the caching on the SCLogin module and disabled the System - Redirect plugin as well but with no positive results.

Can you take a look to see if everything is setup correctly and test please?

Your time would REALLY be appreciated.

When new user registers and clicks activation link from email the following happens:

Is the user logging in through a social network or Joomla? If a social network, which one.

User is redirected to Joomla core component login page - I need this redirected to JS page instead (I believe this is a JFBC override that is happening)

The activation process is handled completely by Joomla. JFBConnect (or the SCLogin module) don't have any activation abilities.. we rely on Joomla's built-in activation abilities. If you want to redirect the user from the standard Joomla login page to JomSocial's, there's a "JomSocial - Redirect" plugin that comes with JomSocial that should do what you're looking for. Please edit it's settings and enable it. When you do that though, please test to make sure it doesn't cause other issues, as we've heard of some minor problems on some sites with that plugin.

I hope that helps explain and get you started.

Thanks,
Alex
