Status update setup

Can you explain more about what string you're seeing that text in? Are you see it in a 3rd party extension, or on the social networks when you login or somewhere else?

Sorry for the delay. I'm looking into this issue. You're definitely right that the status always says "Facebook". For now, the best change I can recommend is editing the /administrator/language/en-GB.plg_socialprofiles_jomsocial.ini file. The last string in there is:
PLG_SOCIALPROFILES_JOMSOCIAL_STATUS_UPDATE_HEADLINE="%s had a status update on Facebook"

For now, change that however you want "%s updated his social network status" or something like that.

We have it on our to-do list for the 6.1.1 release to figure out a way to update the string based on the actual network that the post was imported from.

I just wanted to let you know we have a fix planned for this in the 6.1.1 release of JFBConnect, due out in a week or so. The language string will be updated with a network variable, so it will look like:

%s had a status update on %s

The first %s is the user's name, the second %s will be the network the status was imported from.

This will work for all posts going forward from that point. Any previous posts will still say they come from Facebook as we can't retroactively fix those.
