I have included a video that sums up the experience my site visitors have when logging in using facebook as a returning user:

1. They log in successfully
2. They click on community and it pushes them back to the log in screen
3. They log in again

The cycle continues

This is what I have done to resolve:
1. I have reinstalled Jomsocial (using the latest version)
2. I have deleted that Joomla Menu Link (community)
3. I have recreated it.
4. I have cleared cache
5. I have purged expired cache

Please assist.

Thanks for the video. Seeing the issue definitely helps understand the problem.

The problem is that you likely have the System - Cache plugin enabled *and* have the "Browser Caching" option enabled as well. The browser caching option should not be enabled for any site that allows authentication. If it's on, then when the user visits a page when not logged in, the browser will cache it. Then, if they return to that page, even after logging in, the browser will displayed the cached, non-logged in version.

If you have any other caching extensions instead that may be doing the same thing, please try disabling those and testing instead.

Please let me know how that goes. If that isn't your issue, we'll gladly help investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

* Go to the Plugin Manager
* Find the System - Cache plugin
* Edit it
* Disable the "Use Browser Caching" setting, if enabled.

If that doesn't help, please try disabling the System - Cache plugin altogether as a test to see if it fixes the problem.

I hope that helps,
Alex
