Topic-icon Can't enter LinkedIn API keys, can't autotune, etc.

Active Subscriptions:

Hi, I have been having some issues with the JFBC from time to time. The autotune never really worked properly since it was first introduced. Now, besides the usual errors, I can't even enter the subscription id, can't enter the jLinked API keys, etc. I paid for subscriptions after subscriptions and at $159 now it is not exactly a good price for Joomla extensions.

So I haven't been using JFBC even though I have bought it. Now I thought I try my luck again but again there are all these issues, like bugs but not quite. My site is not perfect but all these problems shouldn't happen at the same time.

It is actually a good extension if there are no hiccups and can be installed smoothly, but with all these issues, I may have to stop using JFBC since it is not really that useful after all.

I'm sorry you've been running into issues. There's only been one other post from you in the past, and it doesn't mention the issues you mentioned above. Until we hear about problems our users are having, we can't help.

As to your problem, I'm not sure exactly what's happening. There aren't any widespread issues about not being able to enter API keys or your Subscriber ID. Can you let me know:
* Do you get any errors when you try to enter your Subscriber ID or run Autotune? You mention "besides the usual errors". There should be no 'usual' errors, so let us know what you see.
* What exactly happens when you try to run Autotune? Do you get past the Basic Info step? What step is causing the errors?
* You mention "jLinked API keys". Are you actually using JLinked as well? That was our separate extension for LinkedIn integration. That was discontinued earlier this year, and all LinkedIn features were rolled into JFBConnect v6.0.

Also, can you let me know:
* What version of Joomla are you using?
* What version of JFBConnect are you using? 6.0.6 is the latest, so I'm assuming that.
* What social networks are you trying to integrate with?

Finally, Autotune isn't required to be run. It's best if you can use it as it will help ensure things are setup right, but isn't required. If you go to the Configuration -> Facebook (or any other social network tab), you can enter your API keys directly there. Once done, try authenticating on the front end.. or implement whatever other features you're looking to try. From there, let us know what issues you run into. Again, specific details will really help.

Please let me know any of the details above, and anything else you can, and we'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex
