Faster pages need was created by gersze
Hi guys,
So, I've just tested some of my websites here:
developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
and all websites where I am using the latest JFBConnect says:
"Enable compression for the following resource to reduce its transfer size
media/sourcecoast/js/jq-bootstrap-1.8.3.js could save 317.2KiB (77% reduction)."
AND
"Minify JavaScript for the following resources to reduce their size
media/sourcecoast/js/jq-bootstrap-1.8.3.js could save 251.4KiB (61% reduction)"
They are first on the suggestion list and on my websites their sizes around 20-30% of the full javasript size.
Is that possible to compress them like it says by 60-70%?
Thanks

Compression is done on your server and is not something JFBConnect can do. To enable compression, go to your Joomla Global Configuration area and set "Enable GZip Compression" to "Yes".

For minimization, that's something we'll have to do and I've included it on our issue tracker for a future release. It shouldn't be overly difficult. However, with compression and general browser caching, it's not going to make a huge improvement as those two things make a much bigger difference in load time.

Thanks for the info, we'll gladly let you know what we find.

Thanks,
Alex
