AutoTune shows all of my FacBook app settings look good (green lights). Also gives me the green light on plugins enabled.

Problem is at the end when I try to run the srroe checker it keeps giving me the same error Error: Fetching failed.

App is live with FaceBook. Turned on site and turned off Force SSL to see if it would help but...it did not help. I'm not sure why I am getting this error because everything looks good.

Any ideas for me? Thanks!

The Error Checker tool has a remote server (sourcecoast.com) fetch your website and try to check for errors in the HTML. For some reason, your site is blocking our request. It's not just us either. If you try your site in any of the following tools, you'll see that it's returning 503 errors, which means an invalid query:
www.internetmarketingninjas.com/header-checker/
web-sniffer.net/
tools.seobook.com/server-header-checker/

I'm not sure why that's happening. It could be because your site is offline, or because the server is configured to deny requests from 'bots'. Either way, hopefully the above tools help you narrow down the issue.

If you need more help getting this going, just let us know. The next steps from here are to put your site online and simply test JFBConnect to see if it works for you. If so, then the Error Check may not be necessary.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the info Alex. Unfortunately Internet Marketing Ninjas shows it was able to connect with a code of 200. I attached a .png file with the confirmation.
If you checked it last night it was blocked because I am in development mode and took it offline after running the error check tool

Today I turned on my website through Joomla, turned off the cache and verified through Goog dev that the site is still in live mode.#

Here is a copy of the generic header my hosting company provides. I change after I have finished developing and the site is live. But right now I do not see anything that would cause a problem.

# Begin cache control #
ExpiresActive on
ExpiresActive off
<FilesMatch ".*">
Header unset Cache-Control
Header unset Expires
Header unset Last-Modified
FileETag None
Header unset Pragma
</FilesMatch>
# End cache control #

Lastly, does my https or ssl have anything to do with this? Everything looks good as far as I can see.

Thanks

One last thing. I have Kunena installed as well. Could there be a conflict? Thanks

Thanks for putting the site online. The issue is with your SSL certificate. You don't look to have the intermediate certificate installed, which is what connects your site to the root certificate authority. Because of that, our server isn't trusting your certificate and won't download the HTML from your site. You can see the full issue using the tool below:
www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html

The SEO Book checker above reports the same issue. Not all sites will have this problem, but some user browsers would, and I'd highly recommend investigating the issue.

As for the Error Checker itself, I just look at your site and verified the HTML manually. There are no issues that our tool would have reported. From here, I'd recommend testing JFBConnect and see if you run into any issues.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks Alex. I resolved all of my issues I believe. I did notice that the FaceBook app ID listed in Autotune is different from my ID with FaceBook. I believe it is because I erased the original app and started over. So far so good.

Thank you for pointing out the SSL issue. I am contacting my hosting provider to see what the deal is. Probably has something to do with being on a shared server. Either way I paid enough for it!

Great Info! :D

Glad to hear you're making progress. For the App ID in Autotune, simply hit the "Refresh" button in the top menu bar and that will re-fetch your Facebook settings based on your App ID and Secret Key configured.

For the SSL certificate, I hope you figure out the issue. It's always possible that the checker I mentioned is incorrect, but best to check with your host. Most all browsers have the intermediate certificate already installed (I think), but you can never be too cautious since, if incorrect, some users won't be able to browse your site.

Anyways, should you need anything else from us or have any questions in general, just let me know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
