Hi,

Just upgraded to JFBC 6.0.4. I use it with EasySocial 1.2.7 and now when I log in with the ES button integration or with a JFBCLogin tag i get the Joomla error message "Warning: Copy Failed". See attached screenshot.

I saw an old post where this was caused by a Kunena plugin and was later fixed. Wonder if JFBC 6.0.4 is trying to pull something in from EasySocial 1.2.7 and can't?

Note that this happens for both FB and G+ logins. Haven't tested with Twitter.

ES page: miraargentina.com/comunidad
JFBCLogin tag page: miraargentina.com/aeropuertos/aeroparque (Click on the "Opiniones" tab and then on "Escribir una opiniĆ³n".

We're looking into this and have had another report as well. When first reported, we re-ran our test suite against EasySocial 1.2.6, which is what we developed against. Everything worked as expected.

We then updated to EasySocial 1.2.7, and we can see the Copy Failed error and no cover photo. We're investigating what's changed in 1.2.7. We'll let you know what we find, but it may take a day as there really shouldn't be 'breaking' changes in a 1.2.x type release. Something obviously changed somewhere though, and I'm just not sure what offhand.

Thanks for the report. We'll update you once we know anything.

Alex

hey ludwig,
there's currently a problem in easysocial 1.2.7 with the cover photo. this will be fixed in 1.2.8 but you can already get a patch, made by mark, in their forum here:
stackideas.com/forums/problem-with-cover...n-profile-and-groups

hope that helps ;)

Thank you remington, that patch gets rid of the warning. However, my cover is still not being imported. I have it set to always update profile and cover.

@AlexSC: Let me know if you want me to delete you from my site.

hey ludwig,
the reason why your cover is not imported even if you set it to "always update" is most likely that the system thinks that the pic is already there - even if it's not physically.
go to your cover album in easysocial and you might see a blank pic as the last cover photo (that's where the issue is coming from). this pic wasn't created by easysocial but the system thinks it's there. go ahead and delete this one, then logout and login with your social account again and the cover should show up fine then.

hope that helps ;)

Remington,
Thanks for your help in narrowing things down. We're doing a little testing with 1.2.7 (and the patch) and it seems like what you say is right. We can't recreate this issue for 'new' users with the patch, and deleting our cover works for existing users.

Remington / Ludwig,
I don't think there's much we can do in our code to fix this. Of course, we'll keep testing and keep an eye out for 1.2.8 and make sure things continue working as expected there.

We're not big fans of putting out too many releases too quickly, but if necessary, we'd make a new release for any more EasySocial issues that crop up (that we can fix).

Keep us posted on anything you find, and thanks again for your patience,
Alex
