Hi alex,
after creation a new site (still in Alpha) I started to testing the configuration.

Now I discvoered when I want to share an K2 Article via the JFBC conent plugin following is shown in the popup: Title, picture but no article content. Instead of this I get a crypted word "{SCGooglePlusO..." I don´t know if this comes from the content plugin or other plugins. But I think it´s from JFBC...

Here is the picture attachment:
File Attachment:

Installation details: Lates version of Joomla 3.x.x., latest JFBC Connect 6.0l.3, latest Jomsocial 3.1.1, latest JReviews 2.4.14.3

Website adress: Altenburg-Net

Either I did something wrong, or it´s a bug. Please help!

Thank you,
Best regards from Austria
Karl

It's likely a caching issue. I just ran your page through the Facebook URL Debug Tool (below) and the description is correct there:
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/o....altenburg-net.at%2F

When you update your Open Graph tags (or when JFBC is setting them manually), it can take Facebook a few days to 'see' the changes. The Debug Tool will also update their information immediately, which is good when you run into issues.

I hope that helps, but if you're still having issues with a certain article, let us know the URL.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank´s Alex.

Yesterday I played around a little with my settings and while doing this I discovered the Facebook bug tool site.
I didn´t know that this facebook tool updates the new settings immediatly. Thought this will only correct this one site article and I have to wait until facebook updates the general settings.

Are there any update information about the app logo and the responsive facebook comments plugin?

Glad to hear the Debug Tool helps you out. It is only for one page, but at least you can do the 'key' pages and ensure things should work on the rest while Facebook scans them automatically.

Are there any update information about the app logo and the responsive facebook comments plugin?

Not sure what you mean about the app logo.

For the responsive comments, please check out this post . It explains the recent changes by Facebook that prevent the responsive comments from working anymore. We're hoping they fix their bug soon, and will gladly implement any necessary changes in JFBConnect if it becomes necessary.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Sorry for the delay in answering. In hte last days I was very busy.
I meant the app logo in the facebook app. In the past you were able to change the logo (75x75) when you clicked on standard image.

Sorry for the delayed response! They switched where you edit the icon and moved it to the "App Details" section. In there is a section for "Icons". The Logo is used for that picture you used. I'd recommend uploading both a logo (1024x1024) and icon (16x16) image to make sure you have all the sizes they need covered.

I hope that helps,
Alex

No problem. Glad to be of help and, honestly, glad to know ourselves. The old way was much clearer and I really didn't know the answer before I told you :)

As always, if you need anything else, just let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alzander,
followed your link to the reviews site of joomla and had time this evening to write a review. Just my two cents ;-)

Hope, my site will be ready for production in the next months or years ;-)

Greets and a nice weekend,
Karl
