Hi,

I'm a joomla newbie, but I have installed the extension and followed all the steps & i've got nothing but a twitter link showing up on my pages. Both on the bottom and on the top :(
Facebook or G+ are not working.
I have done error check & passed everything, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Joe

Joe,
Not sure what's happening from the description you provide. What features/functionality are you trying to implement? Are you trying to add login functionality or the social sharing buttons to your content?

Also, if you can provide a URL to a page that's having issues, along with the description above, that may help us narrow down what's going wrong by seeing the HTML inserted into the page.

We'll do what we can to help get you going though :)

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry for the vague description. I'm not very familiar with all the terminology.

the site is ejuicerankz.com

What would be the benefit of allowing users to log in to the site? Is it necessary to have users like pages/articles what have you?

I would definitely like to add the social sharing buttons & commenting.

Thanks for the clarification. I think the main thing you're missing right now is creating an instance of the SCLogin module. That's the easiest way to show a login form along with the social login buttons.

Everything I can see on the page seems to be configured correctly for social network integration.. it's just a matter of adding the login module to let user's login.

As for adding the social buttons to each article, that's configured in the JFBConnect -> Social area. You'll also need to enable the JFBCContent plugin for the buttons to show. For more information, see our social sharing in Joomla content configuration guide.

I hope that helps get you going!

The JFBCContent plugin is enabled. I've still got nothing??????
And i'm absolutely brand new to joomla, please keep it simple :)

Your sites obviously new as the RocketTheme template has most of the default content. That's perfectly fine, but it made it difficult for me (and possibly you) to find an actual article page. I clicked around a bunch and found the page below:
ejuicerankz.com/index.php/15-roksprocket...oksprocket-extension

That page has a small article snippet describing roksprocket and it actually has the social buttons at the bottom... so, I think the social buttons are showing properly.

At this point, before digging into JFBConnect a lot, I'd recommend:
a) Building out your site a little more. Learning to add categories, content and menu items
b) Enabling the SCLogin module, which will show the social login buttons

I hope that helps get you going a bit more, but should you need anything else.. just let me know!

Thanks,
Alex

Nope not there or any other article for me ejuicerankz.com/index.php/more/about-us this is an article & as you can see the twitter link is at the bottom and top left corner of the page, which I would like to get rid of?

I'm using google chrome, is this a problem? because there is nothing anywhere???

I'm definitely seeing the social buttons at the bottom of that page, right under the "Clicking on links & sponsors throughout this Site, helps us continue to run" text.

If you're not seeing that, try:
a) Logging out of Joomla, if you are logged into the front-end
b) Clearing your browser's cache
I can post a picture of what we see if that may help as well. I'm testing with Chrome, so you shouldn't have issues with that.

As for the 'floating' social buttons, that's coming from the JFBCSocialShare module. Unpublish that, or you can change the configuration to show the buttons 'floating' in a different position or fixed somewhere in a module position.
