Dear Alex,
A while ago, I was forced by my webhost to use varnish cache because i was generating too much traffic on my joomla sites. I was using too much Gb from the servers memory.
Now I have noticed that on a new site I created the JFBC automatic login goes into a loop , again and again .....
It doesn't stop until I push on the X to stop loading the page and I end up not being loggd in.
Any idea what i could change on the configuration maybe ?
Can I even use the JFBC login plugin with the varnish cache enabled on the server?

You can easily try this yourself by pushing on the FB button to connect.

When I bypass the varnish cache with this url ( www.atbkempen.be:8080 ) it seems to work fine but then I do not get the FB comments, because these are assigned to another URL ( I suppose :-) )

JFBConnect, and social logins in general, rely on setting cookies on the users browser based on a specific session ID. That session ID usually isn't stored when you're using Varnish, and Varnish isn't something that Joomla supports out of the box.

If you can tell me more about your varnish configuration, and how you're making it work with Joomla, we may be able to help. However, there will need to be a way to set session specific user information, even for guests, which I don't know if or how Varnish supports that. We don't test with, and I've never used, Varnish, so I don't know much about it, unfortunately.

We'll gladly help however we can though once we get more details on your configuration.
