Hi Alex,
Thank you very much for all your help!

1) Do I get this right email validation is NOT required for FB accouns as they are validated by facebook? If you think validation is required, can you please assist in email validation setup? There are too many options in CB and JFBConnect; for some reason Facebook users are auto-registered and got welcome message instead of email confirmation.

2) Ok, I am happy with resistration page being displayed so users can change their username as well as choose other options

3a) >>> You can disable the login portion of the form in the JFBConnect configuration area. >>> Sorry I don't understand, which option do I disable?

3b),3c) - thank you, I understand

You can configure Joomla/CB to require activation from users that register normally. That will help prevent spammy accounts on your site. In JFBConnect, in the Profiles -> Community Builder area, there is a setting for "Skip CB Activation". When enabled, any users that register through a social network will not have to activate since the social network should already have validated the user.

If you want all users to have to activate, enable activation in CB and disable our 'skip' in the Profiles area.

3a) >>> You can disable the login portion of the form in the JFBConnect configuration area. >>> Sorry I don't understand, which option do I disable?

In the JFBConnect -> Configuration area is an option for 'Registration Display Mode'. Set that to "Registration Only". That will hide the login form and only show the registration area.

I hope that helps get you going! Should you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

The issue with the CB registrations failing was because you have the field "cb_state" marked as required. When you're using Automatic registration in JFBConnect, there was no way for that field to be filled out, so the registration was failing. There are 2 options to fix this:
1) Mark the 'cb_state' field as not-required. Then, the user can automatically register and CB won't have an issue with that field, since it's no longer required. I did this on your site and that's how things are configured now. I tested, and it does properly register the user.
2) Leave the 'cb_state' field as required. In JFBConnect, set "Enable Automatic Registration" to "No" and set the "Registration Component" to 'JFBConnect'. That will bring the user to a registration page where they can fill out extra information, including the cb_state field, for their profile. CB will then let the user register since the required fields are properly filled out.

1. On JFBConnect login form, there is no link to register new user outside facebook

I'm not sure what you mean by this. On the SCLogin form in the right sidebar there is a Register button. When clicked, it brings me properly to the CB registration form. Can you explain a little more what isn't working and/or provide a link so we can see what you're talking about?

Thanks,
Alex

I have the same problem I disabled all fields other than the pre-defined field.. Still I am getting the same error. What else could be the problem ?

I would try disabling the "Required" setting from all fields, including pre-defined ones, and test again. The Required setting is the only cause we know of to prevent the user from properly saving, but there could be other things.

If you still run into issues, please:
* Let us know what version of CB you're running
* Let us know what version of JFBConnect you're using
Also, please post from the account you subscribed to JFBConnect from so that we can understand your configuration a little better. Priority support is also for active subscribers only.

Thanks,
Alex

Can you Private Message me a link to your site so we can test? Right now, we probably can just test on the front-end.. but if you're ok with admin credentials, that should help get a solution faster.

You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my name to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

Ingudam,
I just had a chance to get into the admin area of your site. The issue was that you hadn't published the Social Profiles - Community Builder plugin. That's our integration plugin to make sure JFBConnect and CB play well together.

With that enabled, things seem to be working fine for me. You can configure how the profile data is imported in the JFBConnect -> Profiles area.

I hope that helps get you going,
Alex
