SCLogin tabstop bug was created by camjam
Hey guys i published my SCLogin module shortly after installing JFBConnect, and i have to say its awesome :) except for the one aspect of tabstop not selecting the next field when using the default theme, the modal style is button and the layout is set to vertical, all the show buttons are enabled and the login data is set to be encrypted, can u help me enable tabstop for login fields please? After entering a username and hitting tab the modal login box loses focus

Hrrmmm. That's not correct. We changed the layout system in the latest release and it's possible we broke the tabstops.. which would definitely be annoying.

I don't have a specific answer for you right now, but we're already planning a minor bug-fix release for next Wednesday. We'll look into it and should have a fix for that release.

If we find a real easy change, we'll gladly post it (or if you're in a super rush and *need* something this weekend, we'll provide a longer fix when we get it). Otherwise, I hope a few days is suitable to wait for the next release.

Thanks for the feedback, and glad you're liking things so far!

No problem. The issue looks to be a conflict specific to your site (and likely others) where the tabstops we set are conflicting with other already-set tabstops on your page. We have a fix planned for the release due out next week.

Thanks again for reporting the issue, and sorry for the minor trouble.

No prbs Alex im more than happy to help out with your fantastic component :)

I would also like to note that the sclogin modal window doesnt remember by login either, its quite strange, im really not sure if its something related to my setup or not, i pressumed the tabstop issue would probably be site specific, and would love to attempt to fix it but if u plan a update soon it will be fine to wait for this fix, another thing ive noticed and i really dont know if this is a problem with your module or not, but occaisionally when logging out i get an error notification, have u seen this b4 mate? (ill attach to this post).

I would also like to add my sites logo to the modal dialog box, if its not to much to ask could u point me in the right direction ?

Can you explain this a little more? I'm not quite sure what you mean.

but occasionally when logging out i get an error notification, have u seen this b4 mate? (ill attach to this post).

Can you let me know what the error is? There could be a lot of possibilities. If you have the "Logout Redirection" set to "Same Page", try switching it to a specific menu item and see if that helps. That can help narrow down what the cause may be.

I would also like to add my sites logo to the modal dialog box, if its not to much to ask could u point me in the right direction ?

Our login template files are in /modules/mod_sclogin/tmpl/joomlaLogin_Vertical (or Horizontal). Make whatever changes you need to them. However, your changes will be overridden when you upgrade. You can create a template override as well (ask me how if you don't know how), but that won't incorporate improvements (like fixes to the tabstop) when we release them.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex, thanks for your ongoing support, when i said the modal login dialog doesn't remember me, i meant after checking the Remember me check-box and logging in, then closing the browser and then reopening it and reloading the website, im no longer logged in, ... to make sure of this, i tested it just now and it worked. *blink*

The error i sometimes see when logging out is "Error Authorizing Request, Please login 1st" which is strange because i have set the successful logout and login, to redirect to the 'Frontpage' set in JomSocial, then in my JFBConnect config, in the login/logout settings, also have both options set to home, tho i noticed there is nothing relating to logout on this page, then.. in my mod_sc_login config area i have set same page for login, and Home ( my default mainmenu selection ) for logout, and also i have this System - Jomsocial Redirect plugin! that has additional login/logout settings O_O, login, login failed and logout are selected to Home. I totally lost count how many redirection settigs i just mentioned right there but i have a funny feeling something isnt set right, or perhaps one supersedes another but tbh im really not to sure do you know which takes preference? sorry to nag u with these questions alex, i pressume its the sc_login module?

Thanks for the pointer for making modifications to the templates i will use an overide to do this so as to avoid any problems upgrading.

This is the screenshot m8

I have checked, and double checked the redirection on logout isnt trying to load a restricted page.

One thing ive found to be quite strange, say im on a jomsocial events page, and i click the sclogin module logout button, i get that error, then also in apache error log here is an example

[Mon Mar 03 11:46:26 2014] [error] [client 60.224.177.77] File does not exist: /var/www/events, referer: fanspam.com/events/dispaly?groupid=1
[Mon Mar 03 11:46:26 2014] [error] [client 60.224.177.77] File does not exist: /var/www/events, referer: fanspam.com/events/dispaly?groupid=1
pacific1370:/var/log/apache2#

I was inside a jomsocial events area of the website when i click logout, does this help shed any light?

And here again, in just a regular area of the site a news category area: inside apache error log after logging out:

Mon Mar 03 11:49:00 2014] [error] [client 60.224.177.77] File does not exist: /var/www/news, referer: fanspam.com/news/cricket

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, the newest release came out yesterday and should definitely have fixed the tabbing issue. Thanks again for that report.

The popup message above is definitely not coming from SCLogin. Our module *could* be redirecting the user to a page they don't have access to and that may be causing the popup though. I don't know how we'd fix this in the SCLogin module though. Our redirections do basic tests to make sure the place a user is being redirected to is valid for them.. so, when logging out, the user won't be redirected to a 'Registered' menu item.. in that case, we just redirect them to your home page.

For those Apache messages, I'm very confused. It seems like there's definitely a weird redirect going on, but not sure of the cause. I would recommend disabling the JomSocial redirect plugin though. It's caused multiple issues for us in the past.. especially when not configured properly as it will (by default) redirect users to Itemid=1, even if that menu item doesn't exist. If that doesn't help, try:
1) Disabling any other redirection type stuff enabled to see if you can narrow down the possible cause
2) Test with the standard mod_login module to see what happens. It doesn't have all the same options as SCLogin, but our module is based off of it, so knowing what happens with it will help eliminate causes.
3) Disable any caching or optimization extensions you have enabled while test as they can cause random things to happen sometimes.

I hope that helps,
Alex
