When a user clicks to log in via Facebook everything works normally and then the screen goes white with a log string in the address bar of the browser. If you refresh the browser then the login will complete and the user can continue. Any idea what might be causing this? Website is: www.barkleyandpaws.com

Thanks!

There's likely some PHP error occurring, but I'm not sure what it would be. Can you turn Error Reporting to 'maximum' in the Global Configuration area and try again. Let us know what message appears, and we should be able to help you narrow things down from there.

Thanks,
Alex

Here is the error message causing the issue ... I'll share it with the EasySocial team:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method SocialFieldsUserCoverHelper::createDefaultAlbum() in /home/XXXXXX/XXXXXX/plugins/socialprofiles/easysocial/easysocial.php on line 604

What version of EasySocial are you using? It's possible there's been a change lately that we're not aware of. We test with EasySocial 1.1 currently, but the integration was developed with EasySocial v1.0, so it should work with either of their available releases.

Of course, there could just be a bug we've missed by not including an appropriate file. Knowing what you're using will help us narrow things down.

Thanks,
Alex

I'm helping beta test 1.2 ... so this error is with RC1. They released RC2 today but I haven't had a chance to test that yet.

I've contacted the StackIdeas folks. My EasySocial account isn't available right now, so I can't get the 1.2RC release to test. Hopefully, that will be cleared up soon.

In the mean time, from the error you mention, simply disabling the "Import Cover Photo" option should prevent that error message from blocking things.. of course, there may be another error that crops up after that, but if so, let us know.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Thanks I'll check that. I did download and install RC2 and I'm still getting the same error.

Sounds like a change to their underlying architecture that we hook into. We have a release planned for Wednesday next week, and hopefully we can get things fixed up for that release.

Thanks,
Alex

Here is the reply from EasySocial

Hi,

This is because JFB connect is calling a deprecated function. Please contact JFB regarding this as they will need to update the function accordingly for 1.2 release (1.2 includes a lot a lot of changes).

Thanks for the update. We'll be testing with EasySocial 1.2 starting tomorrow and are planning a release for Wednesday. If all goes well, we'll get everything ready for Wednesday.. if not, we may slip the release till Friday. We should be able to work around any issues in the new release in short order though.

Thanks,
Alex
