Hi there,

Just got the JFBConnect V.6 & configured the way it's explained on this website. Google login works fine but Facebook does not.
When I try to login via Facebook, I get this message:

"App Not Setup: The developers of this app have not set up this app properly for Facebook Login."

Please advise..

Alex A.

Here's the update: I enabled "all" OAuth client flow options under Advanced settings in FB and it's working now. The documentation needs to be updated.

Thanks for the information. Our guide's pictures are out of date with a recent change from Facebook. We're hoping to have that updated by the end of the month. However, I can't find the setting you mention. In the Settings -> Advanced area, I see the following items referencing Oauth:
1) Client OAuth Login
2) Embedded browser OAuth Login
Both of those are 'yes/no' options. Neither has "all" as a setting. Can you let me know the exact option name, and what menu item it can be found under? It's possible you're seeing an even newer interface than we can see as I can't find the setting you mention at all (and we haven't heard of this issue from other users).

Thanks,
Alex

I meant I enabled all of them!.. systematically, though: enabled one, didn't work, two, ... Initially, however, they were all set to "No."

Another issue was "disabling Sandbox Mode." It is not where the document says it is. Its seems they have moved this option to the "Status & Review" section. Under S&R, you will see this text: "Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public?" This should be set to "Yes".

AA,
When you 'enabled all of them', you mean every setting you saw, or just anything with OAuth in the name? Sorry to be a bit slow on this, I just really want to make sure I understand what you needed to do. We are planning to update the docs over the next week to accommodate the recent changes from Facebook.. it's always a cat and mouse game trying to stay 100% updated though.

Glad to hear you got things going though, sorry for the confusion, and should you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

There are four settings under "Client token" (under Advanced settings). They were set to 'no' by default, i changed them to 'yes'. Hope this helps.

Thanks for helping us understand. The only setting that should be required to be set to "Yes" there is "Client OAuth Login". That should be defaulted to that value, but we'll have to test.

The other settings shouldn't be required, but shouldn't cause any issues either.

Thanks again, and we'll try to get things updated shortly.

Best of luck,
Alex
