Hi support,

When users get to login into the site using the FB button, they are immediatly connected and their avatar is pulled (sometimes). And nearly everything works (as in they are seen as registered).

However, when going onto the CB profile, I get the message "This user has not yet confirmed his email address and account!", although CB clearly states "No" in Admin approval, No in moderator approval, No in email confirmation.

The website is www.internationalfriends-munich.com.

When I go to the user manager of CB, I can see that the user is not confirmed. When I click on the user and then directly click "Save" then the user is approved and can use all parts of the site (including profile).

Please reply fast to this post and lets find a solution. Next saturday is the official launch of the website with a couple thousand people going to use the site.

Bye

Tim

The cause of that problem is usually that you have fields in CB marked as 'required' that don't have any field mapping in the Profiles area of JFBConnect. Because the user is registering, but doesn't have data for required fields, CB rejects the user and won't approve them.

You'll need to either:
* Mark the fields as not required
* Turn off automatic registration so that the user can go through a normal registration process and fill out any additional required fields that can't be imported.

I hope that helps explain, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
No this does not work. I have tried to disable to automatic login stuff and even though the user (me) fills out the password, I (as admin) still have to approve the user.

Once the user is approved, it also pulls the picture from FB so that works fine.

Honestly I have no idea what is happening... In case we do not manage to solve the problem, is there a way to confirm thousands of users at once in CB? As said, the start of the website is this friday and it would be quite troublesome if I have to click thousands of times in the back on the name of the user and then "Save".

Bye

Tim

Can you double-check Community Builder and see if *any* fields are marked as "Required"? When you register with JFBConnect, the only required fields generally aren't just 'password'. With CB, there are usually others. In the Profiles area of JFBConnect, please also make sure that the setting for showing fields during registration is set to "Required" or "All", but not "None".. or else you may not be getting the right info from the user.

I'm not sure of any way to auto-approve multiple users from the admin area, though I'm sure it could be done with a SQL query. Again though, you shouldn't need to do that at all.. and we'll need to figure out what's preventing the registration from being saved properly by CB.

If that doesn't help narrow it down, please Private Message me super admin credentials for your site and we'll check for the required fields settings and see if anything else may be causing the problem.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex, Yeees now it works (it was the stupid avatars that were still set as mandatory).

Could you please tell me how I can only allow users to get in that are part of the FB group www.facebook.com/groups/337962059578245/?

Bye

Right now, we don't have any way to prevent user registrations based on a Facebook Group. That may be something we implement in the future, but we don't have a timeline on when, or if, it would be implemented.

If you need to restrict registrations, we'd recommend you set Joomla up to require admin verification and do not have JFBConnect 'skip' the Joomla activation. With that, you will have full control over who can register and login to your site.

I hope that helps,
Alex
