When "Save custom settings" on Facebook Application Configuration, I get this ERROR message, that I cannot solve. So far, I have tried several valid e-mails in any place I could.

Any idea about what to do and the consecuences of ignoring this?

Not sure why you would be able to set that setting using Autotune. Facebook does some checks on all the values and, sometimes, they just get it wrong, frankly.

What I would recommend is going to your Facebook Developer Area directly. Click into your App and go to Settings. In there, set your "Contact Email" and hit save. Then, go back to Autotune and hit "Refresh" in the top menu bar. Hopefully, that will pull in the email you've set and allow you to check the recommendations from Autotune and set them correctly.

I hope that helps, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

I went to the Facebook Developer Area, fill the e-mail and save. And then hit "refresh" and nothing. When hit "Save custom settings" the same message...

Not sure what could be causing this for you, and we haven't heard this from any other users.

Do you have any 'security' extensions or anything else that may be monitoring and/or altering data that's being submitted? Some firewall/security extensions can try to manipulate (or mask) the data we send since it can think that all outgoing traffic is 'bad'. Otherwise, I'm not sure what the problem would be, and I'd likely need to get admin access to your site to investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

Same problem here.
Joomla 3.2.2
JFBConnect Version: 6.0.1
Page check => all published
Error check => all passed

When I'm trying to use the facebook-login I get:
"App Not Setup: The developers of this app have not set up this app properly for Facebook Login."

Can you Private Message me an email address that you're trying to use? We'll have to test on a development system to see if we can recreate the problem and implement a fix in Autotune (if possible) to understand the problem.

You can PM me by using the mail icon to the left.

If there's anything specific about your email addresses that may be causing the problem, let us know that too.. specifically:
* Are there any non-latin (UTF-8) characters in it?
* Is it from a standard domain (.com, .org, .net) or a not as common domain (.tk, .ua, etc)?

If we can narrow down what's unique about the email addresses you're trying or whatever else is common to your problems, that will help us find a solution faster.

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this post.

jpsanudo, thanks for sending a PM with the email you were trying. We've been testing with that address and have had no problems getting Autotune to save it without issue. As to your question in the PM, the email domain does *not* have to be from the domain of the website. Gmail addresses and other web client addresses should be just fine.

I'm not sure if this was a temporary bug with Facebook, or something that's just working for us. If you're still having issues, again, I'd recommend adding the email in the Facebook Developer area directly and hopefully that will get you going. Of course, let us know if that's the case and we'll try to research/investigate further as well.

Thanks,
Alex
