Hi,

when testing the SCLogin I accidentially connect the wrong FB account to the Joomla user.
How can I disconnect them again to be able to connect the correct FB user?

Found the solution myself: simply delete the user from 'user map'

somtimes it can be so easy...

You can either:
1) Delete the 'mapping' of the user in the JFBConnect -> User Map area, or
2) Login using Joomla with the account you want to map the user too. Then, use the SCLogin's "Show Connect Account" settings to show the social network icons that a user can update their account with. Login with Facebook account and the user-mapping will be updated for that user.

I hope that helps,
Alex

I'm sorry, bit I don't fin what you are referring to:

2) Login using Joomla with the account you want to map the user too. Then, use the SCLogin's "Show Connect Account" settings to show the social network icons that a user can update their account with. Login with Facebook account and the user-mapping will be updated for that user.

Where does the User find this? In the SCO-Login module is no option like this...
Is there any menu I have to activate or so?

Sorry for the confusion. In the Logout View Settings area is an option named "Show Connect Account Button(s)". If you enable that, there will be social login buttons for any networks the user hasn't already linked to. You can use that to change the linking of Facebook to a different Joomla account.

I hope that helps explain, but should you have any other questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

What can I do??

If you aren't seeing the Connect this account? text and Facebook button, it means that JFBConnect thinks that Joomla user has already associated their account to Facebook. Can you check the JFBConnect -> Usermap area and see if the "Super User" Joomla account is listed there with a Facebook connection? If so, that's why it's not showing on the front end.

The "Connect Your Account" links will only show to user's that registered through Joomla and *do not* have mappings to any of the configured social networks within JFBConnect.

I hope that helps, but if not, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

thank you for the reply, but that still doesn't answer my question.

I wonder if it isn't possible for the USER HIMSELF to disconnect the establehed Joomla <> FB connection?
If he once was connected (even if I disconetct via Joomla)) he is never again asked WHICH account to connect to.

How can the user himself cut off the connection? Where are these connections stored in his FB profile?

Or am I making a thougth error??

No, not currently from your site. As mentioned above, the user would need to login with a *different* Joomla account in order to re-map their Facebook account to a different Joomla account.

Alternatively, the user could go to their Settings -> Apps area in Facebook.com and 'delete' your application so that JFBConnect would no longer be able to make accesses to Facebook as that user.

We do have plans to add a 'Disconnect' button for each of the social networks later this year, but I don't have a specific timeline on when that would be available.

Thanks,
Alex
