Hello there,

When I submit my page in Open Graph Object Debugger, I get this error :
« Mismatch og:url and canonical url === og:url tag in the header is not the same URL as rel='canonical' link in the html. »


If I look the source code of my page in a browser, I see :
  <link href="http://www.lapagept.com/pt4/impressions-a1-pt/accessoires-pour-mac/produit/380-chargeur-macbook-pro-13-pouces" rel="canonical" />

In Open Graph Object Debugger, the scraper sees this two lines :

<meta property="og:url" content="http://www.lapagept.com/pt4/impressions-a1-pt/accessoires-pour-mac/produit/380-chargeur-macbook-pro-13-pouces?fb_locale=fr_CA">


As you can see, the scraper doesn't see the same code than my browser... Weird????

How could I avoid the mismatch error?

I just tried entering your page in the Open Graph Debug tool, and it passed just fine. I didn't see any error messages and everything looked as it should to me.

Are you still seeing that error? I'm not sure what would be adding the fb_locale-fr_CA or ?fb_locale=fr_CA portions to the URLs in your example, but again, I can't see those at all when using the tool.

I hope it's all working for you now, but if not, just let me know.

I'm getting a 500 error on that page you were testing with above. I'm assuming you just changed that page, but wanted to let you know it's not working just in case.

As for the Open Graph debugger issue, all I can guess is that since you're using the debugger in French, it's trying to fetch the page that way as well. Can you tell me if what Debugger URL you're using (we're using developers.facebook.com/tools/debug )? I'm not sure if you loaded it with a French-specific URL, or it's just doing that because of your default language. We'll gladly investigate further however we can though.

Try with www.lapagept.com/pt4/impressions-a1-pt/a...pouces-caoutchoutees

The mismatch error is still there!

In the english version of the debugger, the error disappeared.

Sorry for missing your earlier response and not getting back to you earlier.

I'm glad you're seeing the same result as I was in the English version. Are you still seeing the debugger problem in some cases with other languages? If so, can you let me know:
1) Is there any specific way you're testing or switching back and forth between the debugger language so that we can test the same way?
2) Are you seeing any actual issues when you try to Like/Share your pages? If not, this may just be an issue with the Debugger tool and not a 'real' issue.
