When you are logged in FB and you want to post a comment, you find the link "Not you?". If you click on it, instead of giving the possibility to log in with a different user, it just displays a comment box with a send button.

In our testing of the Facebook Comment box, there isn't a "Not You" setting we can see. Next to our name is a "(change)" link. When that is clicked, it allows us to switch to a Facebook Page that we own, but not to switch users.

Can you let me know exactly what your seeing? I'm assuming you're using the Facebook Comments box (JFBCComments or one automatically added to content from our Content plugin), correct? If possible, can you post (or private message) a URL on your site where we can see the behavior as well? If not, please attach a picture so we can see that instead.

Thanks,
Alex

It's easy, here is the screenshot.

File Attachment:

Steps: you log in with FB. In JFBComments, the Not You link appears. You click on it and it just puts the comment in a full window. It does not offer the option to change user. I can provide a link to see this behavior, but I think it is standard on all installations.

Hmm.. strange. Testing with a few Facebook accounts (on your site), I didn't initially see the "Not you" link.. I see "Change":
File Attachment:

I believe I'm seeing that because I have multiple Facebook Pages and other things that I can 'change' too. I finally tested with a bare Facebook account and can see the "Not you" text and the results you describe. I'm honestly not sure what's going on with that.

This isn't something we'll be able to fix, as JFBConnect doesn't have control over those links. That's created completely by Facebook. From another quick test on their own creation tool, I'm seeing the same results:
developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/comments/

Can you try and see if you have the problem there as well? If so, we can submit it as a bug to Facebook.

Thanks,
Alex

I confirm I get the same result in the developer page of FB. Indeed, instead of a comment box, I see a button "Add comment" and a list of previous comments. But anyway, it does not allow to change login. So it is definitely a FB bug.

Bug submitted:
developers.facebook.com/x/bugs/1374241122833085/
Feel free to comment on that saying that you're seeing the same behavior.

As for the comment box creation tool, the "Add Comment" link can appear depending on your settings after a specific amount of comments already exist. It's a way to save some space to show more comments. When there are not many (or any) comments, the actual comment box will always show.

I hope that helps, and thanks for pointing that out,
Alex
