Topic-icon Facbook Disabled All Apps - Then Fixed - But I have an issue

Hi,

Well, Facebook had a big issue yesterday and disabled all of the Apps for all (or most) of its developers. In any case, they fixed it, and now I am getting an issue with AutoTune. I cannot "update Application" or "Set All Recommendations". When I click these buttons I get an error:

Error
Facebook API Error: An unknown error has occurred.

This is affecting two website, although one is not live yet:
www.schoolofthedeepheart.com/
lightonvedicastrology.com/beta/

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks for the report. We just really investigated what is going on. It looks like there is a bug with Facebook when saving Migration settings now and that is what is throwing that error message.

The other app values are properly being saved (at least from our testing). So, if your migration settings are incorrect from our recommendations, you'll need to set those manually in your app. Other settings should be able to be set from Autotune itself, as expected.

We've already filed a bug report with Facebook about this issue and will be tracking it as they respond:
developers.facebook.com/bugs/154532864747835

I hope that explains. Again though, if you're seeing different behavior, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Oh yeah, feel free to comment or (more importantly) use the "Does this repro describe your issue?" link so that the bug gets more visibility with Facebook.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the update Alex,

This is what is happening, just the migrations settings are not updating. I did update them manually. And, I added a comment to "Does this repro describe your issue?".

Thanks for doing that. Facebook already responded with a minor change that should work for us. Right now, we pass a 0 or 1 for enable/disable. They recommend using 'true' or 'false'. I think that can be fixed in our current Autotune without requiring an update to JFBConnect itself. If so, this problem should be fixed by us by tomorrow.

If not, we'll definitely have it fixed for the v5.1 release, due out next week.

Thanks again for the report, and best of luck to you,
Alex
