Topic-icon JFBConnect not working on android when links open in Facebook in app browser

Hi
I have a website were users login using JFBConnect to download content.
After i upload new post to the website, I post the page on Facebook.
On mobile device when users tap the link on Facebook app, it doesn't open in device browser, it opens in the Facebook in app browser
they can see the new post but have to login to download the content.
IOS users have no problem (I have IOS) but Android users can't login.

I was searching for solutions to make the link open in device browser but users will need to change Facebook app privacy settings for this. i have 70K followers on my FB group, 75% of them are with Android devices, so i can't ask them to make the changes

this is extremely urgent

Thank you

We don't have any control over how the links are opened. Unfortunately, that's just how Facebook and their app works.

Obviously, if there's something you think JFBConnect is doing wrong, we'll gladly investigate. To my knowledge though, there's nothing we can do in our software (or even you on your site) to force opening in a new browser.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
I understand that there is no way to change how Facebook work and I wans't asking for a solution to overriding facebook app.

JFBConnect does work well on IOS devices when opening a link in Facebook.
However, my point is that JFBConnect does not work on facebook app on Android devices and I think this is something you should look into.

Thank you

As a quick sanity check, can you go into your Facebook Group and manually add an identical post to one created by JFBConnect, with the same link, description, etc? I'd like to see if it's the same behavior.

Additionally, can you check the access and user groups on your menu items/articles. I don't know why Android would work differently than iOS with the same access levels, but it's worth a check.
