Hi, sorry if this topic has been covered, but I couldn't find anything. Is there a way to put the live chat Facebook plugin in only one of my Joomla articles? On Facebook it says "Add Messenger to your website", then gives you a code which starts with <!-- Load Facebook SDK for JavaScript --> and says: Insert this code snippet directly after the opening <body> tag on each page you want the Chat Plugin to appear.

In JFBConnect we have added the ability to show the Messenger plugin. It will be on all pages, not just an article.

Check out our blog post about adding Messenger . It will have the full steps to follow to set up the messenger in your app/Page and the settings required in JFBConnect.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the reply, Melissa,

I cannot have the plugin on all my pages. I run a news site, and I want to use the plugin to talk with only advertisers, not the general readership. Therefore I want to have the plugin on only one of the Joomla articles. There must be a way to do this, no? A search on Google finds that I am not the only one interested in this topic.

It's definitely allowable (by Facebook) to show the Messenger app on only one page. However, JFBConnect was not built with that use case in mind. In general, users of the Messenger feature want it on all pages to connect with their users.

I do see the value in what you're saying, but we don't currently have any way for you to specify specific pages for the Messenger feature to show up on.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex
