Sorry for the delayed response to this.
For turning off SEF URLs, you should be able to navigate the site. All the links should change to index.php?option=com..... (long URL after this). If that's not working, then please also turning off any caching you have enabled. Knowing if SEF URLs (or caching) are related to the problem really narrows down about 75% of the possible causes, so that's something we really would want to do.
I have another module that is the standard login on the main page www.gofishcity.com/login. The module ID is 664. It's set to Login Redirection URL: HOME (menu) which is correct.
If you set this module to redirect to the "News" page, does it work? Since it's going to Home, that doesn't tell us if it's actually working right or if it's failing to Home as well, but we just don't care since that's where you want to go. If the standard Joomla login module also fails to go to the News page, that's an indication of something more underlying causing the issue and not JFBConnect-specific.
