Hi,

I'm trying to get the social share buttons onto my website (FB, linkedin & Twitter), I believe I've followed all of the instructions and have used your example of this website for positioning. I'm not sure why they are not showing. See attachment for the module settings. I'm pretty sure I got the installation and configuration correct and I've created the necessary apps.

I'm not a developer so I'm a little behind the curve...

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Paul

I don't see an attachment on your post. After you upload the image, please use the green arrow to attach it.

Can you provide me a URL where the behavior is occurring, how you're trying to add it (content plugin, social widget module, JFBCSocialShare module, etc) and what's happening?

Hi Melissa

My url is cdvglobal.com and I'm using the JFBCsocialshare module. Essentially nothing is happening, the social share buttons don't come up on the website.

The JFBCSystem plugin does not appear to be enabled. Can you go into the plugin manager and enable 'System - JFBCSystem' plugin?

Hey, sorry for the delayed reply. System - JFBCSystem was already enabled when I sent the query.

Can you temporarily disable JCHOptimize so that we can have a better idea of what's on the page? I see the jfbcsocialshare div on the page, but it's an empty element right now. It's hard to debug with the optimization turned on.

Hi, super sorry about my lack of attention to this thread, I've been a bit preoccupied with a couple of other things. I've switched off JCH optimise and I'll be maintaining a much better view of the thread!

I'm not seeing the JFBCSocialShare module code anywhere on the page. Can you double check that 'position3' is shown on the page and in your template? Either way, can you try a different position, like the footer area where "About CDV Global" is or the menus? The module will move it from whatever position you put it in to float on the page, so it shouldn't really matter the position.

I hope that's all it is, but if that still doesn't help make it show, let us know and we'll continue to help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex
